Like creative arts, academics and physical activity we believe music is something all children and adults have an affinity to. You might not be good at singing or using instruments but you would be jard pressed to find a person that does not like some form of music somewhere. Since music is fun and engaging why not teach a child at the same time? What a better way to teach a child literacy then to do it through the love of music. Kindermusik does this and then some! This music curriculum is specifically designed for ages 1-5 which fits perfectly with our classrooms. Why Kindermusik?
2000 Days Pre-Kindergarten looked at many music programs and even took some time to try and create our own. We noticed quickly that we are not experts in music or the field of music. We could have put something together and hoped it was fun and helped in developing our students minds but that is not our way. We wanted the best for our child and we strongly believe that Kindermusik ABC Music & Me is the best music program. After seeing the program in action we were very impressed how much fun the children were having and add to that they were learning and you have a winner. You know it is an amazing music program when music schools and certain community programs charges hundreds of dollars a month for it. Our daycare school makes this part of our curriculum for free!
Music In General
Music can’t just be one program, even a great one like Kindermusik’s ABC Music & Me. At 2000 Days Pre-Kindergarten we use music as much as we can do set the mood for fun and learning or just relax and have some fun. Whether it is listening to a great MP3 playlist for our children, singing a song before lunch, dancing in our gym or even hitting some drums at circle time. Music is part of our everyday and makes for a fun and joyful time while at school for our students.
